Powered Aire Air Curtains Featured in Properties Magazine
Powered Aire Air Curtains was featured in the most recent copy of Properties Magazine. In collaboration with Air Control Products, the article details the latest changes by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) regarding vestibule requirements.
Until recently, air curtains like those manufactured by Powered Aire weren’t acceptable as a replacement for vestibules inside public doorways. Air curtains effectiveness was proven after significant research and given approval as an adequate exception over the past year.
These exceptions allow for:
Self-closing doors in buildings in Climate Zones 0, 3, and 4 that have an air curtain complying with Section 10.4.5.
Self-closing doors in buildings 15 stories or less in Climate Zones 5 thru 8 that have an air curtain complying with Section 10.4.5.
